Performance genius, Richard Hamann, had a penchant for retuning BMW vehicles for as long as we can remember. When Hamann recently passed away, the retuning company he founded, Hamann Motorsports, was naturally grief stricken. That said. They haven't taken much pause, either.  In an effort to follow Hamann'a dying wish, and ensure his spirit lives on, the company has been working steadfast to continue business as usual.

We've had the pleasure of seeing the fruits of Haman Motorsports' efforts at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show. There, they launched their first tuning package for the BMW 6-Series Convertible - a testament to Hamann's life work and passion for the BMW brand. How proud Hamann would be!

To further add to the 6-Series' already sporty demeanor, Hamann has also lowered the vehicle by 30 millimeters (just over an inch). Which is good, because you definitely want to hug the ground with 510 hp under the hood.

Perhaps more exciting to BMW drivers who enjoy the idea of most things elite...is the fact that Hamann's 'rim program' can accommodate nearly all individual requests from BMW 6-Series drivers. Want sporty? Hamann has you covered. Distinguished? They can do that too. Elegant or classy? You bet.
